Ideas for an atypical Valentine's Day.
Valentine's Day, February 14, the day of lovers... a day when everyone celebrates love - in any form.
But this year, we can't celebrate it as we could, or at least in the Valencian Community... So it's time to innovate and think of ideas that can be done while staying safe.
Obviously, as always, we focus on those who enjoy gastronomy the most. If your partner, friend, work colleague or cuddle buddy (as they say in Belgium) is a good FOODIE, Here are some ideas for Valentine's Day!
1. ROMANTIC BREAKFASTS0S

Everyone likes to wake up with a proper breakfast to start the day in style! And what better than the packs from My Bakery (@mybakerybenidorm) where they deliver a homemade breakfast box with everything you need. We tried the snack box with different breads, croissants, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, homemade pastries and cava.
All for 35 euros, sounds good eh?
2. A VERY SWEET GIFT
Big Fing Cookie - Delivery to Benidorm, La Nucía, Alfaz, Albir, Finestrat, Altea, Polop and Villajoyosa.
Sweeten your Valentine's afternoon with the pizza-shaped cookie from Big F-ing Cookie (@bigfingcookie), made in Altea and delivered straight from the oven to your door, we think it's a top snack for those with a sweet tooth. They come in three different flavours and for 12 euros you can combine/customise them.
Ice cream Sirvent - Delivery to Villajoyosa, Benidorm, La Nucía, Alfaz, Albir, Finestrat, Altea, Polop and Calpe.
Also, Helados Sirvent (@heladossirvent) never cease to surprise us with their innovative ice creams. Like the Donut ice cream, chocolate with churros or Miguelitos de la Roda (7 euros per ½ litre), and if you accompany it with their Kínder Bueno sauce, you're sure to get it right! Although we also find their pack for two of 'Waffle Yogurt Bueno' for 12 euros very original, so that you can make your own sweet treat with waffles, sauces, toppings and ice cream in any way you like.
3. YOUR FAVOURITE HOME-DELIVERED MEAL
If you know your Valentine well, you'll know what kind of food he or she loses his or her mind for. Make the most of it and order it to your home, and if you don't know what it is, we'll advise you to surprise him or her!

We know that burgers don't fail, neither do those of Tepuy (@tepuy.burger) with delivery in Benidorm, nor those of Las Palmeras (@laspalmerasfoodie) with delivery in Villajoyosa. For 15 euros you can enjoy a dinner based on their famous quality burgers and combinations that will blow you away.

Now they have also merged their menu with L'Originale (@ristorante.pizzeria.loriginale), a magnificent Italian restaurant in Benidorm that we also know will not let you down.
Sarita Indian Restaurant - Takeaway and delivery to Albir, Benidorm, Alfaz, La Nucia, Altea and Polop.
If you also like Indian cuisine, El Sarita (@saritaindianrestaurant) will leave you speechless with its great menu for two. For 29.95 euros, this includes three starters, two curries of your choice and a bottle of wine.
Auuu - Home delivery to Benidorm, Villajoyosa, La Nucia, Alfaz, Albir and Finestrat.
If you fancy a mix of different types of food, Auuu (@auuu.es) with delivery from Villajoyosa to Albir, has six different food sections: paellas, Italian, Mexican, Turkish, Asian, American and American. With them you can enjoy a super homemade dinner made with fresh products for less than 20 euros.
El Xato - Takeaway and delivery to Albir, Benidorm, Alfaz, La Nucia, Altea, Polop and Villajoyosa.
And if you prefer something more top-notch, Michelin-starred restaurant El Xato (@elxatoicristinafigueira) offers a set menu focused on contemporary Mediterranean cuisine for 49 euros. Composed of four starters, two starters, a main course of your choice and a dessert; all of course accompanied by a bottle of wine included.
4. A GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE AT HOME
Cervezas Althaia - They send packs to all Spain (Peninsula).
This Valentine's Day they bring a gastronomic experience to your doorstep. For beer lovers, Althaia (@cervezasalthaia) brews its innovative craft beers in Altea. So that you can try them, they offer a tasting pack at home for 36 euros. It includes 12 award-winning beers to taste, guided by the QR code found on the pack.
Vino Entre Tierras - They send packs to all Spain (Peninsula).
Even for wine lovers, Vino Entre Tierras (@vinoentre) made in Pinoso and limited edition, offers packs for around 35 euros, with local and artisanal products such as cheeses, cold meats and quality nuts. So that you can enjoy an aperitif accompanied by a wine with well-integrated wood, very balanced and easy to drink.
It's true what they say, the way to a man or woman's heart is through their stomach. With this in mind, let's hope these ideas will make you enjoy the most romantic day of the year - BEWARE, YOU WILL NOT REGRET!
