First of all, I would like to tell you about Altea, which is without a doubt one of the most charming villages which are located in the "Costa Blanca" of Spain, located in the region of Alicante in the Marina Baixa region.
The town is only 11 kilometres north of BenidormHowever, the two resorts are far apart.
Altea is similar to other villages on the Costa Blanca in that it has a new and old neighbourhood. The old section is perched on top of a hill from where you will find truly spectacular views.
In general, Altea is a very beautiful village and popular with tourists. and especially those fortunate enough to live in the area; it has a slowly growing multinational expatriate community.
