There is nothing better to endure the cold winter than a stew or a hot stew, cooked over a slow fire, following the tradition of yesteryear. At our inn La Mezquita, located in the Alicante municipality of Beniardá, we are specialists in the preparation of homemade Alicante cuisine that includes these dishes so typical of the Guadalest Valley.

On our menu you can choose from a wide range of starters, rice dishes and stews, meats and fish, topped off with homemade desserts. Start by trying our warm salad, grilled squid or prawns with garlic.

Our star dishes are those popular stews and casseroles from the Guadalest Valley area. We prepare a delicious "Olleta de Blat", a hearty dish with which you will calm the cold thanks to the combination of ingredients such as vegetables, meat and products from the slaughter of the pig. A hearty stew suitable for the most exquisite palates and that we cook in our inn with love and, of course, always using fresh products.

Another option you can also opt for is our "Olleta de pilotes" or "caldo con pelotas", a homemade stew from Alicante where legumes, vegetables and meatballs are combined, resulting in a flavour that is... unmistakable!

If you don't fancy one of these stews, you can always choose one of our varieties of rice or try our delicious baked meats: lamb chops, rabbit in the house style, pork tenderloin, etc.
